Description : Working in the Business and Legal Affairs group at Cirque du Soleil means being part of a dynamic team committed to the company's success. As a member of the Intellectual Property Law division, the selected candidate will be responsible for certain cases concerning creative activities at Cirque du Soleil, notably those touching on the audiovisual, music and technological sectors. Reporting to the Director of Intellectual Property, the successful candidate will be required to:

Write up and negotiate contracts;
Give legal advice;
Develop legal infrastructure corresponding to Cirque needs;
Take part in the institution of tools for intellectual property management.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Membership in the Barreau du Québec;
Minimum of five years' experience in entertainment law (experience in audiovisual concerns and familiarity with holding companies and artistic associations an asset);
Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written;
Analytical skills and insight;
Attention to detail and excellent writing skills;
Negotiation skills;
Proactivity, leadership, initiative and self-reliance;
Excellent communication skills and aptitude for teamwork;
Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;
Good knowledge of Word and Outlook programs.
