Legal Assistant – Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Glowinsky Law | Toronto, ON Full-time | Permanent Glowinsky Law is seeking a Legal Assistant with approximately 1–3 years of experience in Plaintiff personal injury law to join our team. Experience with tort claims, motor vehicle accidents, accident benefits, dog bites, falls, long-term disability benefits denials, and related personal injury matters is preferred. What We’re Looking For * Strong client-service approach and professional communication skills * Excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading, and attention to detail * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills * Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines * Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate next steps * Strong written and verbal communication when dealing with lawyers, clients, staff, and third parties Qualifications * Completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program * Minimum 1 year of civil litigation experience * Minimum 1 year of Ontario Plaintiff personal injury experience * In-depth understanding of personal injury law and legal terminology * Strong knowledge of the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure * Strong computer and typing skills (55+ WPM) * Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and digital dictation * Experience with PCLaw, Primafact, ACL, Tracument, Filevine, or similar legal technology is an asset Responsibilities * Manage administrative duties, including email and calendar management, meeting coordination, scanning, and circulation of mail * Prepare legal documents and correspondence under the supervision of lawyers, using precedents and instructions * Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and electronic files * Transcribe digital dictation as required * Coordinate with and delegate tasks to other administrative departments * Provide backup coverage for team members when required * Assist with other duties and projects as assigned What We Offer * Competitive salary * Group benefits package, including dental, extended health, and life insurance * On-site parking * A supportive and collaborative learning environment * Opportunities for professional growth within Plaintiff personal injury law Salary: $36,830.02–$64,827.17 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
