Seeking a lawyer to join a growing practice focused on family and estate law. Candidates with family or estate experience are preferred, while lawyers from other practice areas with a strong interest in developing these skills are also considered. Responsibilities Meet with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel Conduct legal research and analyze legislation and case law Review evidence and case files to identify key legal issues and develop strategies Draft agreements, pleadings, and other court documents Assist with negotiations, meetings, case preparation, and case management Attend court hearings and support senior counsel on active matters Manage files, deadlines, and ongoing legal projects Develop negotiation and mediation skills while independently handling matters Qualifications LLB/JD and called to the Bar of British Columbia 3+ years of call Family and/or estate law experience is an asset Strong legal research, analytical, and argument-development skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and project-management abilities Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing deadlines Willingness to appear in court and develop advocacy skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn Strong client-service and interpersonal skills

Exigences
