Family Lawyer – Midtown Toronto Our client, a highly regarded law firm in Midtown Toronto, is seeking a Family Lawyer with 2–4 years of experience to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate interested in sophisticated family law matters involving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, executives, professionals, and families with complex financial circumstances. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced lawyers while receiving meaningful responsibility and direct client exposure. Key Responsibilities Manage family law matters from initial consultation through resolution Advise clients on separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, child and spousal support, and property division Handle complex financial matters involving privately held businesses, trusts, investments, pensions, and significant family assets Draft pleadings, financial statements, domestic contracts, separation agreements, briefs, and court materials Represent clients at conferences, motions, mediations, arbitrations, and other court appearances Work with accountants, business valuators, financial experts, and other professionals Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution Maintain strong client relationships while providing practical and strategic advice Qualifications 2–4 years of family law experience Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario Experience managing family law files with increasing independence Exposure to high-net-worth or financially complex matters is preferred Strong drafting, negotiation, advocacy, and analytical skills Excellent judgment and the ability to manage sensitive client matters professionally Strong interpersonal and client-service skills Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple active files The Opportunity Work on sophisticated family law matters involving high-net-worth clients Receive mentorship and support from experienced family lawyers Gain meaningful client contact and hands-on file responsibility Join a collaborative and respected Midtown Toronto firm Competitive compensation and benefits Long-term professional development and advancement opportunities
