The successful candidate will support a broad range of matters across all Shannex business divisions, including claims management and dispute resolution, privacy, corporate/commercial, legal operations, and general risk management. Act as a strategic partner to operating leaders, providing practical day-to-day legal advice to enable business objectives while managing risk. Provide privacy law support, including guidance on compliance obligations, incident response, and data-sharing practices. Liaise with external counsel on litigation, regulatory and employment & labour matters. Assist with the development, review and revision of policies and procedures. Contribute towards strategic planning and process improvement for the legal team. Partner with others to support investigations and compliance matters, and regarding general risk assessment and management. Deliver practical legal guidance and training to business teams, translating requirements into workable processes. Support the review, drafting and negotiation of a range of commercial agreements. Support business transactions, special projects and other general legal matters as needed About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring: Completion of a degree in law (JD or LLB) Membership in good standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, or eligible for membership Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably with a large law firm or in-house legal department Desire to apply your specialized expertise in any of the practice areas described in the “About the Opportunity” section while learning to practice as a generalist Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment Strong communication skills, and the ability to work well independently and collaboratively Interest in technology, knowledge management, and process improvement Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and risk awareness Experience in healthcare, seniors’ care, or another regulated sector is considered an asset Performs additional duties as required Apply today to join the Shannex team of Great People! Exigences

Candidates must hold a law degree (JD or LLB) and be a member in good standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society. A minimum of 5 years of legal experience is required, preferably within a large law firm, in-house department, or a regulated sector like healthcare.
